Wow. It has been a whole week since I last wrote. I have made a piƱata, played floor feud, and seen a talent show. It was great. I also went to In N Out for my floor's party.

Did I forget to mention that I also went to the San Diego Zoo? I saw all kinds of animals and learned some stuff about primates. I went to a show and saw a cheetah. I also saw many peacocks roaming around the park. There was this cool presentation where there was people who looked like statues and danced around. I thought it was so cool.

In our classes, I've learned more about codes and made a collage.

My group and I are now working hard trying to finish our project.

This weekend was so exciting. On Friday we had a dance and everyone had fun getting their groove on. On Saturday we went to Balboa Park and spend our time in the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. It was so fascinating to see more than 100 interactive science exhibits. I also saw THE DEEP SEA at the IMAX Dome Theater. It was kind of interesting to see some of the most bizarre creatures in the world.

It was Parent Visitation Day on Sunday, so my parents came to pick me up to take me somewhere. We went shopping to the Westfield Horton Plaza, and walked around for like 3 hours. We then went to the beach to enjoy the view.

It's Monday and we are back to learning. In the morning we learned how to translate images and how to scale pictures. We are now trying to finish the mini presentation.

On Wednesday we learned how to mirror an image using python. We also had to continue working on our Powerpoint Presentations that were due on Thursday. On Thursday I didn't get to present but everyone had really funny presentations. We had Karaoke Night yesterday, and it was so much fun. We also started playing Gotcha! and it was exciting while it lasted Today we learned how to transform images using Python and I found it kinfd of complicated. We were assigned groups for our final presentations and we are to do a 1 minute presentation due Monday.

Today we had an interesting lecture from a biochemical engineer and talked about diabetes and about sensors that can detect blood glucose levels. We then had presentations from Mindi, Sid, Katie, Forest, Jikyu, and Melanie. They talked about the lecturer and subjects that he will cover on Thursday. After lunch we talked more about slide rulers and how to use them. It was fascinating to find out that people had to use slide rulers for buildings or any type of constructing before the 1950's. Now I have free time in the lab and hopefully I get started on my PowerPoint presentation.

On my first day, I was greeted by some COSMOS staff, checked into the campus and moved in to my dorm. It was all very welcoming. On Monday we had our first class discussion. We were introduced to basic programming and used Unix, a programming language. We also went to the Geisel Library. After study time, all the Cosmos students were invited to an ice cream social. On Tuesday morning, we had a lecture about brain devices and were introduced to some things robots are able to do such as playing soccer. I thought everything was really interesting. In the afternoon we had a discussion about how we were able to prove that a machine could think. We asked if humans were just machines and ways to show that a machine could think. On Wednesday afternoon we used adobe photoshop and had fun with pictures. On Thursday we had a discovery lecture about how dark matter and dark energy make up most of the universe. We were left with a question about what is dark matter and dark energy. On Friday we used Adobe Photoshop again and had fun with more pictures. We also had Cosmolympics on Friday and we got third place along with two other cluster. I spent the weekend playing cards most of the time. The weekend is now gone and we're back to classes.
